So where do we start?

I guess with today, since it is what pushed me to finally have a blog.  My sister Melanie always reminds me of funny or interesting things my kids do and asks me if I've written them down. "Um, no." seems to be my typical answer.  So it's time to start writing about this woman's work (that is, family, church, friends, hobbies...you know...life).

We've all been sick this week with various ailments...I won't go into the nasty details, (well, okay, if you insist) except for one.  Tonight Asher, now a whopping 8 months old, finished nursing, so I stood him up on my lap to give him a little, "hey babe", before putting him down for bed.  I could just see his little stomach starting to lurch.  Lucky for me, I caught the first handful in, well, my hand.  Danny was super quick on bowl-duty, so before you knew it, Baby Boy was vomiting in a throw-up bowl just like his big brother and sisters do.  Such a proud moment for a mother.  A little scary too, as I also had my new-ish and very loved MacBook Pro on my lap.  Poor Asher.

Rewind to Sadie and Mollie watching a Dora video.
One girl: Mommy, The Map isn't wearing any clothes!
Me: Uh uh...that's because...he's a rolled up piece of paper.
Other girl: But why doesn't he even wear any underpants?
Me: Umm...I guess because he doesn't have a bottom.

See?  All sorts of wisdom gained from watching characters on a screen.  At least Sadie and Mollie respond when Dora asks them something though.  Jeremy used to just sit and stare at the tv with a blank stare.  Again, the joys of motherhood.  It's amazing how a little interaction between your children and their tv friends can bring a bit of joy.   Thanks Melanie for the inspiration to write things down.

oh I love it! Good for you...and I loved your post on my blog about Easter...I almost don't even want to go to my mother's house for Easter dinner because the cousins are there and they get big big things in their Easter baskets...and my kids think the Easter bunny jipped them...oh well, that is so not the meaning of Easter....it truly is like a "mini Christmas"....ok, now I get to stalk your blog...how fun!

I check your blog everyday to see if you are ever going to add another post....but no!! ;)- My cousin Shayna just moved in on your street a few houses down from you...I saw you drive by her house the other morning but I didn't wave because I was still in my pj's, no make-up, and wicked awesome bed head! ;)- hahaha
I'm sure we'll run into each other soon...I'm up at my cousins quite a bit. Anyhow - how about another post?!?! It's not like your life is busy of anything! ;)-
